ABOUT DR. HENTSCHEL

Dr. Winifred (Sachs*) Hentschel is the consulting Head Neuropsychologist at Harvard University's Graduate Student Learning Support Program and has a private practice in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. For over 20 years, she has worked as a neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist, helping clients with executive function vulnerabilities associated ADHD, learning disorders, head injury, depression and anxiety. She continues to actively incorporate research, new methodologies and client experience into her practice.

Dr. Winifred (Sachs) Hentschel received her doctorate in counseling psychology from Boston University. She completed two postdoctoral fellowships in clinical neuropsychology; i.e., Massachusetts Mental Health Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at the Harvard Medical School and New England Rehabilitation Hospital.

Prior to establishing a private practice, Dr. Hentschel was a neuropsychologist at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and had an appointment as a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. She did neuropsychological testing and was the co-director of the Cognitive Remediation Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where she saw patients with memory, attention and learning disorders. In addition, Dr. Hentschel has also been on staff at the North Shore Medical Center in their geriatric neuropsychiatry unit.
